Build 54 new garden apartments within a large existing rental complex and give the entire complex a facelift.
The goal was ambitious. Reconfigure and rebuild existing apartments damaged by fire, as well as build new apartments from scratch, utilizing as much of the existing infrastructure as possible. The client wanted to give the entire complex a fresh, updated look, while still remaining true to the existing character of the site.
It was a challenge to work around existing utilities — and around the tenants already living within the site. By digging for the new infrastructure by hand, Regency was able to accomplish this and preserve the quality of life for the currente tenants. Traffic engineers were recruited to optimize the existing parking facilities and ensure they continue to best serve the needs of the community.
